Chris Gouras and his brother, George, opened their first Another Broken Egg Cafe location in April 2011 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. But the idea came from a conversation between Chris and a colleague over dinner one night about the lack of good breakfast restaurants in the area. This exchange sparked a fire within Chris and prompted him to call his brother, George. During the call, both agreed the area could use a good upscale breakfast and brunch dining experience.
Following that fateful conversation, they opened their first Another Broken Egg Cafe restaurant in Ridgeland. It was a huge success, so opening two more locations in Memphis, Tennessee, wasn’t a hard decision for the Gouras Brothers. Using the same great menu loaded with fresh ingredients and creative recipes across a wide variety of breakfast classics, memorable brunch dishes and lunchtime favorites, they introduced Memphis to its first and second Another Broken Egg Cafe restaurants.
Today, the Gouras Brothers still operate both Memphis locations on Park Avenue and on South Highland Street, as well as their first location in Mississippi. All three restaurants have become big parts of their respective communities by getting involved with area charities as well as a favorite breakfast and brunch spot for locals.
